A bit rough, but it actually looks surprisingly well done...?

Agreed, I saw this and thought it looked pretty good for an aftermarket conversion. Unless its a secret Ford factory prototype for what could have been.
Also, I really need to close the Copart tab and resist my baser urges...

Th at would be great if this is how Ford made the new small pickup. They could even lift it for the off-road trim

The back reminds me a little of my old Ranchero. I wish that the front of mine had more Mustang styling . The more that I look at this, the more I like it.

There really is quite a bit of space back there. Especially if the rear seats are removed.

These were really popular in Finland during late 80's and early 90's
. The pickup conversion dropped the import taxes from a very high percentage to zero. The bed could be covered but only with soft fabric. The conversion also reduc
ed their maximum allowed speed to 80 km/h (with a driver’s
airbag
and ABS brakes to 100 km/h)
.
Many other cars were converted too
using various methods but the
3rd generation Camaros
/Firebirds
were the only ones that still looked somewhat
nice after the oper
ation
.
